AJ pressed the first screen and set it on our 356's headlight. It matched the bezel perfectly — like Stuttgart intended it from the start. No hardware. No mounting ring. Nothing but what the car already had.

That was the moment we knew.

And the best part: it's fully reversible. Wear it on the weekend. Pull it in ten minutes and roll into a concours show 100% stock.

  • AJ Hall - The Hands

    Twenty-four, with an old soul. If he doesn't know how to do something, he learns it — and it's in his toolbox within weeks.
    He rebuilt his first classic in 2020 — a smoking, broken-down '62 Mercury Meteor. That fire for taking something old and breathing something fresh into it never left.
    Outside the shop: motorcycle ministry rides, competitive shooting, woodworking, and the St. Johns Car Club he co-founded in North Portland.
    Daily drivers: a '78 C10 and that Mercury. Favorite finish: Bronze. He believes these machines are meant to be driven — scars and all.

  • Christian - The Builder

    Grew up around cars as emotion, not transportation. His dad co-founded Hooker Headers. There was always something loud, fast, and half-finished in the garage.
    He bought his first car — a '72 Karmann Ghia — at fourteen with lawn-mowing money, two years before he could drive it. Sanded it himself. Painted it metallic blue. Dual carbs. Fuchs wheels. Never lost the addiction to before-and-after.
    Self-made, hands-on, just as comfortable degreasing a part as building a business around it.
    Drives a '63 356 and a '59 Apache. Ask him about the welded-on crescent wrench sometime.

How a Set Is Made

Eight steps. Every one of them by hand. No machines on quality control. No cameras checking our work. Just two guys who know when something's right.

  • Cut

    Aluminum hex mesh, sized to the headlight it's meant for.

  • Press

    Dies aligned. Part stamped.

  • Trim

    Excess removed by hand.

  • Shape

    Re-hammered to an exact curve.

  • Inspect

    Checked before it goes near Cerakote.

  • Finish

    Degreased, blasted, hand-sprayed, oven-cured.

  • Box

    RETT box folded by hand. Foam cut on AJ's CNC, one set at a time.

  • Ship

    Screens, foam, signed insert card. Shipped.

The One Rule

We'll never send this overseas to be stamped out fast and cheap. Every piece is still hand-pressed, inspecting the curve, feeling the edge, appreciating what it becomes. These aren't parts that move people from A to B. They're pieces our customers have stories about, and care for like family. That bond deserves the same care on our end.

What "Lifetime Workmanship" Actually Means

We guarantee the screen arrives as promised, evenly formed, no cracks, no stress fractures, Cerakote applied clean front to back and inside every hex wall. What it doesn't cover is use. A hard hit might dent the screen, but that dent just saved your headlight. Some customers wear that dent with pride. Others swap it for new. Either way, that's the product doing its job, not failing. Chapter Two Is Already Taking Shape

Parts are where we started, not where we stop. Prove the product. Build the community. Then put down roots — a shop, a service bay, half storage and half build space, full of the trucks and classics we grew up loving. We're not there yet. But every set you buy gets us one step closer.
